Ed is an Excellent teacher! Has a great and efficient way to explain the moves and on top of that he is also super nice and respectful person! I’m hooked
-
The Teacher was perfect the thing is that the class wasn’t like a inicial reggaeton where you learn how to do some steps, it was like a normal class.
-
amazing!

Great Class! This was my first introduction to Salsa dancing. The instructor was great, he broke down the steps and make it easy to follow along.
-
Gisele was really fun to learn from. I'm looking forward to dancing with her again

Great class with over 40 attendees during a snowy day. The instructor kept it simple and fun with a chance to socialize as we rotated from one partner to another.

Teacher was late, they made us fill up a form before class which if you don’t know about it it will take time out of your class, then we learned some steps and the teacher said that the class was wester swing, so I went all by with it, when it came the time to practice with some music, it was modern songs like the ones you hear on the radio now, the description was swing and I saw other types of swing on the website, my reason to go to this class even when the schedule wasn’t good for me, it was because describe it as swing, the traditional one. Two persons left the class very mad, I stay there and try to enjoy it as much as I could but, honestly I was very disappointed. I have to recognize that the teacher was very nice. But definitely I did swing before, 20 years ago and the level was ok for beginners but the music sucks!!!

This "class" was a complete waste of time and money. The scheduling staff and personnel at 500 8th Avenue were useless, to say the least. Weekly the location of the class changed and the front desk were not aware and didn't seem to care. The teacher was late one week and they had to change teachers and room midway. My son learned absolutely nothing. Never Again.

My son enjoyed it

First class was cancelled without notice -- we arrived at the studio and no one there knew what was going on.
We never went back, what a waste of time and energy!
-
Teacher was fun and knowledgeable-- this class is great for absolute beginners, as advertised.
I had some trouble deciphering how to sign in and get started with the school itself. There was no signage to indicate where I needed to check in, which ended up being a studio where a class was in progress. If kindly strangers hadn't taken pity on me, I would not have known to go into the class and find the admin person. This school needs to be more explicit about their admin procedures.

I've take 4 courses at Piel Canela so far and I strongly recommend. It's a good bang for your buck (if you get the groupon), so you can practice multiple times a week with different instructors.
-
The class was both relaxed in tone and focused providing the steps to learn successfully. The teacher provided a comfortable pace and progression that made it fun and achievable. As a beginner student everyone is bound to miss steps and the teacher took the time to provide tutorials where needed. She had wonderful sense of humor and clarity presenting information.

It was a TERRIBLE experience and did not attend all classes. The Teacher was nice enough but the management was awful and ruins the class. CANCELS, OVERCROWDING AND DISORGANIZED. My wife and I work hard, and were really looking forward to a romantic time learning how to dance together... No such Luck...
First Week -- Class was CANCELLED with NO NOTIFICATION. my wife and I got very excited and went to the class. The person registering just simply said "oh the website shows that it cancelled earlier"... BUT NO ONE TOLD US THAT WE SHOULD CHECK IT... And, my wife and I still wanted to continue the date night and rather than apologizing for the oversight and charged us full price for a different class.... Strike 1
2nd week -- We arrived 10minutes early. We tried to get the card to sign in... BUT, 1 person was working and completely overwhelmed. She didn't have our information at all. Rather than just immediately helping us, she pushed us from the front of the line to the back, fill out all this paperwork (ones that we already completed when signing up for the class!), This took 30 MINS.... So, our "First" class of bachata started 20minutes late for us. We tried to make the best of it and went to the class. The teacher spent the rest of the class highlighting our late arrival and targeting us. Unfortunately, rather than targeting us and helping us w/ the steps she just asked us personal questions. The classroom was also OVERCROWDED. Bumped into people with every other motion.
3rd week -- we arrived 30minutes early this time.... STILL NO CARDS?! No Records that purchased it. Thankfully this time we didn't have to write too much and no wait.. Third time we went there... Obviously, little concern over the attendees... The class itself? Bleh! SMALL ROOM, OVERCROWDED, and Hot/Sweaty/smelly. It must have been the 3rd consecutive class in there. It was THICK in scent of humans. Again, constantly bumped into people. Poor management, it's as if they had no maximum capacity for the class and decided to just push as many people in as possible.....
by the 4th week, we had enough. Tired of the nonsense w/ registration and tired of the overcrowding.

Good class, but the instructor danced in her own rhythm and did not connect with the students. She was rude to one of the girls in the class. There were too many students and less space. But it was still a good introduction to belly dance for me.

Myrna, the instructor was good but the "school" itself (really just a bunch of college students in a rented space) was disorganized, rude and amateur. They have no real working relationship with course-horse and could not figure out how to register me. I never even made it into the first class because of their bumbling - thankfully, Course Horse gave me a credit for that because Course Horse is great! Class never got underway on time as they struggled to take roll and document everyone with a photograph. Lucky to get 20 minutes of instruction from an hour-long class.

I travel far away to get in this class , finally I got there , just for them to tell me that I'm not SUPOST to have a class a day after I paid for it , they were very rude and they didn't re-imbulse my money in my credit card yet .- Certainly a bad experience

Love this class! So much energy and lots of fun! The only reason I would give it a 4 because the floors were disgustingly dirty honestly so in hygienic! Other than that would take this class again and burn some more fat away !

I was expecting more of a jazz class, but this was more of a salsa partner class. I wish the class description would have been more accurate. I wasn't looking for a salsa partner dance class.

So fun and we loved our teacher. It would be great if we didn't just have to use this as a one-time drop in class, seems like it'd be fun to return for a whole course, but we had a great time while we were there, learned a good amount and enjoyed it. Our teacher was funny and helpful and entertaining, and a great instructor.
