The class ended 30 mins early. The instructor was not kind and uninterested in making the class fun. All of the sauces were in plastic drinking cups—we had to scrape sauce from the bottom of a communal cup in order to get some. We had to share one cutting board and one knife amongst 12 people. We had no utensils to eat our sushi—forced to eat with our hands. Not a fun Saturday night atmosphere. Very awkward.
My husband and our 11 year old son took this class together and said it was a great experience-very fun and relaxed and they learned a lot. They came home excited and are planning to make a sushi dinner for our family soon.
Fun, fun, fun! Easy to learn. We were able to easily follow the instructions & by the end of the night we were making sushi rolls like experts!
Simon was excellent! He was very personable and knowledgeable, and made us feel at ease with info and tips throughout the class. I came away really feeling like I had learned something. A lot of fun and would totally recommend!
Im so glad I took this class. I cant wait to roll my maki!!!
The course was great and our instructor was very knowledgeable. You get plenty of sushi to fill you up.
It was very informative, and extremely fun. We loved it!
Simon is fun and the class is a breeze.
It was a little long (less talking more sushi making). It was also annoying that some people in the class got a living social deal and paid 20-30% less
My daughter & I LOVED this class! Alexandra was fabulous - funny, smart, engaging, patient. And we learned so much more than just about making rolls. The history, where to shop, how to buy sushi-grade fish, how to cut the ingredients, & so much more. I was skeptical about how much I could really learn in one class, but I honestly feel like I nailed my understanding of the basics. A GREAT value, & money well spent. I highly recommend!
