Cafe Grumpy is an independent coffee company that began in Greenpoint, Brooklyn in 2005 and has since grown to seven NYC locations with its own in-house roastery. Dedicated to quality and responsibility, they focus on sourcing, roasting, and brewing specialty coffee with transparency and care for both people and the environment.
We opened our first cafe location on a quiet street in the Industrial Business Zone of Greenpoint, Brooklyn in 2005. As an independently owned and operated coffee company, we are proud to have grown to seven retail locations throughout New York City and in-house coffee roastery. We strive to promote specialty coffee from sourcing to roasting to brewing in a socially and environmentally responsible manner by maintaining transparency and developing positive relationships with the people we work with along every step of the process.
