The Art of Intuitive Photography is focused on enhancing your intuition in photography, learning how to see differently, and compositional improvement. It is open to all photography levels and all digital cameras (including point and shoot). This is not a technical class, however we will go over basics to those who request/need it.

We will conduct exercises to tune you into your intuition, and learn how to take photos by following it. In addition, we will focus on the differences between looking, observing and seeing. Throughout the class we will give feedback on how to better the composition of your photos. You will notice that by the end of the class you will not only be looking at the world differently, but you will have better photographs to prove it!

How we are different:

  • Fun for all ages
  • We teach photography classes, workshops and lessons to adults and children/teens in various fun locations in NYC. Learn how to use your camera, improve the composition of your images, join a photo tour, or learn how intuition can help you take creative photos.
  • Personal and hands-on.
  • If you're tired of traditional classroom teaching or frustrated with reading manuals or watching videos, join one of our classes for an authentic way of learning while getting the personal attention you deserve.
  • We offer a 100% money back guarantee if you are not satisfied with a session you attend.
FAQs

What are some of your most popular classes that you offer on CourseHorse?
Digital Photography for Beginners, Art of Intuitive Photography and our Walk-About classes are the most popular.

How long have you been in business? Can you share a bit more about your history?
We just celebrated our six year anniversary this 2016. My first class I created was the Art of Intuitive Photography. It was created out of my frustration of being a photography student and not getting enough exposure on how to capture more creative photos.

What is your average class size?
Our average class size is 6-10 students.

What is your typical student like? What are their goals?
Our students are typically those who want to learn how to use their camera (starting a hobby or going on vacation) and wanting to know how to be more creative with their photography.

Can you recommend activities to do in the neighborhood before or after class?
We teach our classes in all different locations. It is recommended to explore the area. Walk down streets or turn corners and see something visually interesting to you.

Notes: Exact location and other information about the class will be emailed to the enrolled students 1 to 2 days before class.

I really enjoyed this session with Sepia Prince, The museum was so very alive that night, I think I was a little over whelmed, so really, for an intuitive photography session...it was perfect. I was not entirely in touch with my camera, I was totally into the environment, and loved his approach to intuitive photography. I came away with some really good images I would never have arrived at on my own. When I did have ideas about image making, he helped me achieve what i wanted.

Mindy is so amazing. She is very enthusiastic to teach, very detailing and she gave everyone full attention. She really makes the interrelationship between ISO, Aperture, and F-stop easier to understand. I would definitely recommend this class to all the beginner and intermediate level photographers

Mindy was truly fantastic! During the first part of class she helped break down basic elements in layman terms and also provided a packet of definitions and examples which was great for an absolute beginner. She also looked at each of our camera's individually and worked with us to help understand their specific functions and capabilities. I recommend this class to anyone who is a true beginner and needs a place to start.

Great introduction to photography and to mastering the complexities of advanced cameras and manual mode. Definitely more for me to still discover, but I'm glad I was given this introduction!
