The Art of Intuitive Photography is focused on enhancing your intuition in photography, learning how to see differently, and compositional improvement. It is open to all photography levels and all digital cameras (including point and shoot). This is not a technical class, however we will go over basics to those who request/need it.
We will conduct exercises to tune you into your intuition, and learn how to take photos by following it. In addition, we will focus on the differences between looking, observing and seeing. Throughout the class we will give feedback on how to better the composition of your photos. You will notice that by the end of the class you will not only be looking at the world differently, but you will have better photographs to prove it!
How we are different:
Notes: Exact location and other information about the class will be emailed to the enrolled students 1 to 2 days before class.
I really enjoyed this class. Mindy broke it all down into understandable components. I took this class because I had experience shooting film on an SLR "back in the day," but really didn't get how to apply what I knew to digital photography. Each time I would try to get off of the "auto" mode I had very mixed results. She explained in simple terms about how to manipulate ISO (what I knew as ASA and later ISO or film sensitivity), aperture (f-stops) and shutter speed on my digital SLR to get great pictures. She helped to connect those very rusty dots. I highly recommend this class to anyone who wants to take advantage of the full capabilities of SLR digital cameras. Mindy will help you. I promise!
It was a wonderful evening - Mindy was patient, available and present for each person in the class. She kept it moving, and had honored each of our quirks and thoughts with grace and kindness
Great introduction for beginners by Mindie. So much informations to explain to beginners are not easy. But she’s doing great work with pationate lecture. Ground floor of IBM space was very cold and some strange looking people were sitting near our very small aluminum table. Bathroom are not easy to find, Trump tower downstairs, must go through tight security or huge Nike store 4th floor. Class was good Mindie was good but class location was wired.
I really enjoyed and learned a lot. I had no idea about photography and how to use my new camera. And now I have to practice what I learned in class. Mindy was very nice and helpful! She is very Good! I recommend her to everyone who wants to learn about photography and how to take a good pictures. I pretend to register for more classes.
Sepia was an excellent teacher. Very patient and knowledge,
I'm a self taught photographer but always looking to learn more in my creative director career. The Digital Photography II - Mastering Manual Mode at Night Course was exceptional. Our instructor - Mindy Véissid, gave us so many amazing tips, on how to capture what we like in Night-mode. Since taking the class, I have a strong handle on how much light is required in each image at night. I truly recommend the first class and second Digital photography class for anyone who wants to excel in photography. Thank you and embrace your inner photographer. Abstract photographer - GTGTART
Excellent! I left this class with much more confidence and a better understanding of my camera. Mindy was an awesome teacher and she really helps you understand the camera basics and essentials while shooting in manual without all the "techy" talk. I highly recommend taking this class for those who need a refresher course and want to feel more comfortable shooting in manual. No Auto!
Just wanted to log my review of Mindy’s night shooting class. I’ve been a photograph for 40 years, with many exhibitions. Mindy’s class has totally - and simply - retooled my approach to night shooting to great effect.
This is a perfect class for a true beginner. The instructor, Sepia, is patient andknowledgeable. He managed to meet everyone's needs with grace and consideration. I would welcome a part 2 to this introductory class.
Great course and very helpful as an intro into photography.
