Color Managed Workflow with Davinci Resolve is a great class. It's taught by industry leading colorist and color scientist Dado Valentic who is passionate about his craft. The skills and knowledge he is imparting is invaluable which will lead to better work and better jobs in the colorist field.

I thought the class would be hands on learning the software. Taking notes will be the only you do in this class.

I've spent the last 10 years as a professional offline editor, and wanted to take a class to get my head around scopes and wave forms in a professional production environment where I don't have much experience. Felt the class was on point for what I wanted, both in terms of explaining the how/what various scopes and wave forms... as well as real world advise on how to implement them into the production workflow. Thought the teacher was knowledgeable, open to questions and did a solid job.

I have taken several of the digital cinema camera classes to bring my skill level up substantially from film to digital cinema workflow. Learning the theory of the science is very important for me. AbelCine explains it all thoroughly. I plan to take all of the AbelCine class offerings. Next to on the job learning, it's better than any film school could possibly offer and at much less the cost.

Excellent information provided. The small class size allows for great one-on-one time and to answer specific questions that we had. Some terminology was quite complex and lost me every now and then, but overall, excellent value with great insight to make me even more comfortable with my FS5. Appreciated the information on lenses, shooting in s-log/raw, internet streaming and so much more. Highly recommended, especially for experienced camera people, looking to use an affordable, professional for almost any application desired from small to large scale productions.

  • Sony FS5 Intensive

This one day intensive was deeply informative and the instructor was great. I had been looking forward to more hands-on time with the camera itself though, and there was really only maybe half an hour to an hour at the end of the day allotted for that. Otherwise overall I'm happy with the class - got very familiar with the Sony menus, need-to-know stuff as far as shooting in S-Log, using external monitors/recorders with the Fs5 and even covered a little bit on color & bit depths, long gop vs intra gop codecs, and color correction in post. Thank you, Corey!
