The class was well organized and very informative. The working environment was open and creative with the instructor always on hand to lend a hand if necessary. Everyone was encouraged to be individual in their work. It was a great evening with good company!
It was a good class and I got a lot of feedback from teacher odette she was the best help in class
Jazz Improv with Ed MacEachen was a class I looked forward to each week. The participants were warm and receptive, and Ed was a masterful teacher; supportive and non-judgmental, but also flexible and informative. He was able to take each student where they were in their musical journey and create a cohesive course content for everyone involved. What a pleasure it was working with such a superb instructor. I look forward to the next session!
I absolutely love the beginner wheel pottery class at 92NY! The teachers are fantastic, providing guidance and encouragement in a fun and creative way. I'm really enjoying exploring this craft - I've signed up for this course four times now, and I intend to continue. Highly recommend!
What a wonderful course! Super setting, instructor, model, and other students. It was highly informative, and fun, and pushed me (in a good way) to become more comfortable and informed about sculpting the human figure. I love that it was broken down into multiple sessions, plenty of extra time if needed, and super loving and joyful overall. I highly recommend it if you're even considering it.
Prior to this course, I had absolutely no experience creating pottery on a wheel. When I walked inside the studio, I knew from the start it was going to be a great experience. I was greeted with extremely friendly instructors and saw the studio had everything you’d possibly need to be successful. I definitely struggled through parts of the course, but it takes time to get comfortable and learn! Though it is a group course, the instructors gave students some one on one time if needed, which was very helpful for me personally. It is a beginner course (teaching you the basics of making pottery on a wheel in a group setting) but there were some advanced students as well. The instructors are very talented and can train all skill levels, making it a learning opportunity for anyone. Overall, I’d rate this a 10/10 experience!
It is my pleasure to assist you. First and foremost Emily is a brilliant instructor. This class will be enjoyable for anyone who has some background in sewing, pattern making, or the like. The reward is wonderful to know that you actually produced a pair of boots that you can wear out of the class and show off. My only suggestion would be a shopping trip with Emily to pick out your leather and other supplies. Not only would this be a fun outing (optional of course) but it would save the students a lot of time and money. Leather is very expensive so if you go with an expert she can recommend the proper leather to buy. Another fun part of the outing would be a chance to meet your teammates in a relaxed setting. I would highly recommend this class and am free if anyone has any questions.
It was a tap dancing class and I have never done tap dancing before it was too difficult for me. It did look like fun if I had more experience with tap dance. One option would be to have a couple of teachers in the same classroom, some of which modify the tap dance to show how it's done for beginners, similar to an aerobics class where they have different levels that you can participate.
Drawing for Beginners” was an engaging opportunity to get back into drawing. The instructor (Zach Seeger) was adept with the technology and made the experience seamless. He was responsive outside of class too. The pace was manageable, and many upsides to online drawing instruction! I thoroughly enjoyed sitting in the privacy of my own home experimenting with different media and styles. Highly recommend!
Great course, learned a lot and the professor was super helpful!
