Description
This workshop will get you ready to use Canon cameras on your next project. You will learn the fundamentals of prepping and operating Canon cameras, including what to look out for during a rental prep such as back focus, firmware, and lens mount options.
You will also learn common methods for trouble shooting in the field. You will be taken through menu operation, project set up, user buttons and practical shooting scenarios and configurations.
Who Should Attend: Camera Assistants

- Overview of the various Canon EOS models and functions
- Similarities and differences between Canon EOS models
- Using menus to set codecs, frame rates, resolution, data rates, shutter angle, off-speed recording and exposure
- Clip naming, setting video outputs
- Picture Profile and Scene File settings
- User Buttons
- Jamming the camera with time code for sync sound
- Recording to an external recorder
- Common accessories
- Cabling
- Loading firmware
- Restoring camera to factory settings
- General data workflow

If a participant is unable to attend for any reason, you may transfer registration to an alternate date or location, or use the full credit towards a different workshop.
You may also transfer enrollment to someone else, but you must provide the updated registrant information prior to the start of the class.
If unable to attend, you must notify CourseHorse within 48 hours prior to the scheduled start time.
We reserve the right to cancel or postpone classes in the event of low enrollment or forces beyond our control. If the instructor is sick or unable to attend, we will notify attendees 48 hours in advance of class to reschedule for a later date.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
