Description
The virtual directing course will be taught by seasoned educator and award-winning filmmaker Roderick Giles. The goal of the workshop is to introduce the students to the various ways to prepare to direct a narrative project, whether it’s a short, feature, sitcom or web series and have them develop a technique and process that suits them. The course will also cover the following:
- Questions a Director must answer.
- Pre-visuals
- Script Breakdown
- Script analysis.
- Character analysis.
- Creating a Visual Narrative
- Blocking, actors and camera
- Working with Actors
School Notes:
This class was created by the division of Workforce Development and Continuing Education.
Most of the courses offered by our department are certificate based. A student will receive a certificate upon successful completion, with the exception of TASC/GED courses.
