Description
Every 1st Monday of the month, join Akemi from Swing Dance Astoria as she leads this fun class and social about all things swing dance! Come early for a special pre-class happy hour just for the dancers (that's you!) starting at 6:30.
The first portion of each event begins with some expert instruction on the basics of swing dancing. She will teach special topics that we usually don't have time for during our regular Monday classes.
No partner or experience necessary, just bring your comfortable shoes and happy feet! Once the instruction portion is complete, our dance party begins! Try out your new moves on the dance floor to the old time music of 1930's and 40's!
More experienced? Great! This is your time to show off your moves!

School Notes:
OUTSIDE FOOD & DRINKS ARE NOT ALLOWED. QED has coffee, tea, soda, beer & wine plus snacks and pre-made wraps and sandwiches available.
Refund Policy
- We require at least 8 business days notice before a class in order to issue a refund less 5% cancellation fee and there are no transfers to future classes allowed.
- Tickets are transferable meaning we will allow anyone to take your place in class, so check around with your friends to see if someone else would like your spot.
In case of bad weather, classes WILL always take place unless the subway system is closed down. If you have issues traveling, please keep this in mind when you purchase your ticket. If the school do cancel for an emergency, we will try to reschedule the class on the same day of the week at the same scheduled time as soon as possible. If you cannot make the rescheduled date, we will refund you the price of your seat.
