What you'll learn in this unique class:
Today, the deeply knowledgeable perfumer Eliza Douglas, who trained with the world’s best in France, will share her expertise about the beautiful natural materials used to make perfume—where they fit into fragrance families as well as how to categorize and work with them. We’ll also see how their facets overlap with one another, creating a kaleidoscope of connections, “bridges” between materials.
Come get familiar with a range of extraordinary fragrant materials from Bergamot to Jasmine absolute to Peru Balsam, among many others. We will spend a good part of the class blending and educating our sense of smell correctly, as we create our very own perfume fragrance to take home.
Note: A $55 materials fee is to be paid directly to the instructor for: formula sheets, charts, pipettes, and essential oils and absolutes (jasmines, tonka bean, etc). Bring a notebook.

- Refunds are available minus a processing fee* if you cancel up to 11 business days prior to the first day of the program.
- Course credits are available, minus a processing fee* if you cancel up to 3 business days prior to the first day of the program.
*The processing fee for cancellation is $15 for programs costing less than $250, and $35 for programs costing $250 and up.
No refunds or credits will be given for cancellations less than 3 business days prior to the first day of a program, or if a student does not attend a program. The estimated refund processing time is two to three weeks.
