Students will learn how to cut glass, combine colors and use light (opacity and transparency) to create a number of projects, including a sun catcher, mirror frame and a plate.
With the application of heat in a kiln various forms of glass can be fused and slumped into different shapes to create tiles, panels and plates. This five session class will introduce students to the techniques of kilnforming glass. The class will give students a basic foundation of kiln-forming skills, techniques and materials. Safety techniques will be emphasized throughout the course.
