The course offers extensive open studio hours, providing ample opportunity to work on your sculptures between scheduled class sessions and during your own time. A comprehensive collection of carving tools is available for use, including hammers, chisels, rasps, and rifflers suited to various carving techniques. The studio store stocks a diverse selection of stones available in multiple sizes, shapes, colors, textures, and hardness levels to help you conceptualize and realize your sculptural projects.

Stone materials and safety equipment must be purchased separately at the studio site. A 10 percent student discount applies to all stone purchases. Students are encouraged to arrive with reference materials, inspirational images, or a preliminary project idea in mind to maximize their learning experience.
