  • Junko was a wealth of knowledge and super patient and kind. The class was really amazing and I learned a lot of techniques and history of the Nageire style. I will definitely be back to take more of her classes!
  • This was a wonderful class. I learned so much from Junko, and especially enjoyed learning about the history of Ikebana + her own journey with the art form. I left with a beautiful piece, lots more knowledge, and the inspiration to keep trying at home. Thank you for an awesome class!
  • I thoroughly enjoyed the basic Ikebana class with instructor and assistant. It was exquisite though her mastery of Ikebana floral design was for a considerable length of years, during the class she allowed us attendees the freedom to be creative with our designs. The class was a delight to learn of this technique of Ikebana.
  • My friend and I had such a lovely time learning about Ikebana and Japanese culture. It was such a great lesson of how to see beauty even in the simplest of things! They provided all of the materials and we hand crafted everything with help. Junko was extremely knowledgable and had an excellent eye for helping you develop your own ikebana arrangement. At the end, you keep the pot, planting materials, and ikebana flower arranger. I would absolutely go back again!
  • Amazing class! Junior was very thoughtful and lovely :) would be happy to book again!
  • Loved this intro to Japanese floral design class! Junko is so knowledgeable and kind. I really enjoyed the history/theory section part at the beginning that helped ground the arranging exercise. It was amazing how different everyone's arrangement turned out when working with the exact same materials. I will definitely be back for another class!
  • Small class size allowed for one on one attention especially crucial when creating the ikebana. Arigatou
  • Class was lots of fun! Instructor informative & personable. The website should’ve been more explicit about the additional materials fee. I believe I saw it once while I was looking at classes but it was not part of checkout and never mentioned again until we arrived.
  • The instructor was very kind an informative. My mother and I had such a nice time and came out with such beautiful pieces we were so thrilled to do this class!
  • I love Junko's class! She is so gentle and knowledgable, and each time I came home with a beautiful creation. Took her class 3 times already and will definitely be back for more <3
  • Great class! There was a very warm welcome and check in. The teacher was great and we got to make a beautiful arrangement!
  • This class was great! A lot of good information up front - the first half of the class is dedicated to the book-knowledge, whereas the second is the more technical knowledge. You get to take the flowers and pot home with you, so it's worth it. The instructor was sooooo cute - she's a riot, and she's super fun to work with. Would highly recommend.
  • Wonderful class with a great lesson on the history and techniques of Ikebana, the art of Japanese floral design. It was both informative and hands-on—I learned how to create my own arrangement and got to make one myself. We carefully took it apart for travel, and I was able to take home a vase, which was an additional $50 (clearly listed when booking). The class itself was $150, and well worth it! Shout out to TikTok for the inspiration. The teacher is very sweet and her work is stunning.
  • Junko is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met! Full of knowledge in the world of ikebana and makes it easy to learn, engage, and have fun. Highly recommend taking this course!
  • Such a lovely & relaxing experience. Junko was the sweetest & provided a beautiful array of flowers & helped guide us through creating an arrangement. I love what I created & am a huge fan of Ikebana. I will be back for another class. Truly special!
  • I loved my time in the workshop. The hands-on experience and expert guidance provided a deep insight into the art of ikebana, making it both educational and enjoyable.
  • I booked this class for myself and my closest friends and family for my birthday and it was such a wonderful experience! The instructors were incredibly nice and informative. They made the class so fun! I had guests ranging from 13-30 and we all enjoyed ourselves so much! I learned more about the origins and concept of Ikebana including the history related to Japan. The instructors also had such a positive and encouraging attitude when it came to our individual floral designs and supported our creativity! I highly recommend this class for any occasion! 10/10 experience!
  • This class exceeded all my expectations. The instructor was incredibly well versed at her craft and extraordinarily warm and friendly. She helped me to create an amazing Ikebana floral design that my friends and family love. I definitely plan to continue this journey.
  • Loved the floral selection and instruction.
  • Loved this course. Beyond the technical skills learned, I loved learning about the philosophy, history, and spiritualism behind Japanese Ikebana. Such a holistic class all around. The professor was very interesting, kind and caring. This is a great way to spend some free time, highly recommend.
  • Great knowledge, enthusiastic, real skills. An eye opener. Wish I stayed for six days
  • I loved this class so much. I definitely want to take it again or take more from Junko again. I have a beautiful centerpiece to boot!
  • My experience was great. The instructor was ever knowledgeable and helpful. She helped me understand the history of Ikebana which is important to me. Lastly, the tools and take home packages were extremely useful.
  • Loved the class and everyone at the school.
  • Phenomenal class! Junko really was such warm, funny, creative, objective, and caring professor and she has a really great balance of guiding students with her craft, while letting students have creative freedom. She really gets to know the students on a personal level so I really felt welcomed and engaged - even inspired after I left class. I booked this class for an anniversary with my partner and would recommend to anyone who is interested in flower arranging - very informative and fun activity to do with another and the arrangements were so beautiful!
  • Loved it
  • Amazing class!!! Michael made everything very easy, explaining and demonstrating everything as he went. Fun personality, witty and great sense of humor. I can make beautiful flower arrangements and it’s only been 3 days!!
  • Honestly an all around wonderful experience and totally worth it. What a great memory!
  • It was a fun class to take. However, it was very crowded (about 30 people) so you were left to your own most of the time. After the demonstration, you went to a station to create the floral arrangement. There were many assistants to replace missing floral pieces but they did not offer suggestions or guidance. The instructor stayed on the other side of the room and I believe offered assistance to them, but he did not come to our side. But I LOVED it and would recommend it, and hope you have a smaller class than I had.
  • Loved junko sensei and loved learning about ikebana thank you so much! Our group really appreciated it.
  • Fun and informative! Loved our arrangements.
  • I’ve attended a gazillion classes, and this one was fantastic. Junko is so sweet, and we learned a lot not only about floral design but some Japanese history. The time flew by. I was concerned about getting the arrangement home on the subway, but we take it apart and get a box with a new white low vase and frog to go along with our paper-wrapped foliage. I highly recommend the class.
  • Excellent teacher! I thoroughly enjoyed the history and philosophy behind the ikebana floral arranging class. It was helpful to understand how it related to both history, religion And Nature. The flowers were beautiful, and the people were so friendly
  • We had a wonderful time! It was a great way for my team to end the school year. Everyone was so welcoming and pleasant. Thank You!
  • I had a great time at Ikebana! The instructor was amazing and so sweet! Would 10/10 recommend!
  • It was a very good small group experience, where the teacher stroke a good balance between letting the students be creative and providing guidance in Ikebana concepts. The time just flew by in class and we felt very satisfied. We also got to keep the Ikebanas, so it felt like the class was worth the time and money.
  • The class was phenomenal!! The energy of everyone in there was magical, we had a very special experience! The flowers are beautiful!!
  • Very fun experience! Learned a lot about Japanese culture behind the ikebana design and the instructor was very helpful. She also took photos for us with our flowers after class. Would recommend it.
  • I booked this class for my girlfriend’s birthday, and it was absolutely incredible. The instructor was excellent at explaining the history of the art, and philosophy behind the arrangements. We were then provided with materials to make our own arrangements, which turned out beautifully.
  • Carolyn was a great instructor, she made sure to review each bouquet in the class and give input. Lots of great tips on how to place, maintain and style flowers. I would definitely take more classes with her and at the school in general.
  • It was an Amazing class! We had so much fun & loved the teacher, she was so sweet, patient, funny & attentive. We learned a lot & created beautiful floral designs. Will most definitely be coming back in the near future!
  • Amazing class. Love it!!
  • Junko is a passionate and deeply knowledgeable ikebana master who teaches with the same passion. It was a pleasure learning both the history as well as the techniques of the ikebana craft with her.
  • Fabulous!!!! Junko is wonderful!!!!!
