  • Coding Bootcamp

I had a great experience. I learned a lot of new tricks, and the instructor Mike made everything very easy to understand. The place feels like a tech company and provides free snacks and drinks too!
  • Belen was so clear and patient. The class went so quickly and we covered a lot of ground in just one session. Coding doesn't seem so overwhelming anymore. Thank you!
  • The instructor was very influential. I loved the classroom setting as well.
  • Instructor was really good and she had a good grasp of concepts and very nice skills to teach us those concepts. It was a perfect training with the Mac Desktop supplied by the library itself and we didn't have to carry any device. Would love to see more such sessions.
  • great intro class. loved the instructor and her enthusiasm for the topic. we covered a lot in the course and she left us with some good resources. i now feel confident i can sign up for a lengthier css, html class:)
  • Simply great! JavaScript rules! Good course, step by step instructions. You can always ask instructor any questions and build real app.
  • Great class!
  • I loved the class and it was very clear and detailed
  • It was very informative, great for absolute beginners!
  • It was excellent.
  • This was such a cool class! I feel like now I can actually build a web page with a bit more research on my end. Learned a lot in a few hours
  • The professor/ instructor was everything! She strengthened my understanding of css and made me aware of tools and free online resources to use when coding!
  • The teacher was super knowledgeable and the structure of doing-it-yourself was executed really well. I definitely gained valuable experience!
  • I took the Web Development Front-End course with Tommy. He explained step by step with details, and was very patient during the course. I recommend it! The classes are very entertaining and you learn a lot!! He's a great teacher ( even helped me find the corresponding keys on my keyboard since it is in Spanish :) ) Great class thank you!
  • This course is great for anyone who knows little to nothing about HTML & CSS. This is second time I've taken a class at Noble Desktop and I intend to book another course with them. They're great! Instructions are easy to follow and I always leave feeling like I've learned more than I expected.
  • It was an interesting week. The instructor was very good. I learned a lot and would definitely recommend this course for anyone.
  • Great intro to a full development stack.
  • I loved the class and was sad that it was over actually . The teacher of this whole program, Tommy , was insipiring, clear and made sure you understood topics. He actually explains instead of assuming you already know coding and have a CS degree. We learned CSS , HTML , JS , worked with node , git and were able to upload our final project to the GitHub. We created our ChatApplication during this time. It felt good at the end when you felt like you created something. You will feel overwhelmed at times with code. But, Tommy will make sure you understand the code and what’s behind it . So you are actually able to ply around with it yourself . Take the class ! It is totally worth the time and money if you are serious about starting or changing your career to web development or such !
  • Such a fantastic course! Tommy has empowered me to love coding. Prior to coming here I utilized many online resources but it was hard to follow and difficult to find answers to my questions. Tommy explained everything in a great and professional manner.
  • Tommy is a great teacher! Starting with no experience I have built my own app!
  • The instructer was extremely knowledgeable
  • Taking Web Development 1 at Noble Desktop was an enriching and fruitful experience. I learned the basic mechanics of CSS and HTML and felt more confident speaking about these technologies back at the office. Certainly a worthwhile investment.
  • I found the Web Development 1 course very informative, easy to follow, and highly engaging. I find the methods used to teach the course very effective. I finally understand the basics of HTML and CSS, and I'm ready for more. Where other guides become so daunting and lose me, the method used in this class made it much easier to understand the material and learn.
  • The class was unbelievably easy to follow and set at a perfect pace. They make it easy to learn in the classroom or from home. Teachers are friendly and answer all and any questions. This was the first class I ever took for coding and I am so glad I did. I feel like I was able to learn a new skill fairly quickly and I love bragging about it. Truly a lovely place to begin chasing your dream of proving everyone wrong who said, "Coding is too hard. I tried and I couldn't do it so you probably won't like it. You are gonna think it's boring--" This class will automatically give you a sense of feeling superiority over others who were honestly just not smart enough to look up Noble Desktop. The only place that will break it down for you so you can literally snatch the haters away. THANKS NOBLE DESKTOP!
  • Web Development Level 1 was an excellent class that covered just the right amount of material and even had some time to delve into forms. The class size was perfect, classroom was clean, equipment worked well without issues. The course was very well organized, exercises were well thought-out and were easy to navigate through. Victoria was an amazing instructor, she knew her material very well, was very kind, helpful and supportive. I highly recommend the class and the school.
  • The Web Development Level 1 class was excellent. I had never taken a class at Noble Desktop nor heard of them before, but I learned so much in 3 days. I was able to put my new knowledge to use as soon as I returned to work.
  • Noble's learning and instruction approach is very well-structured and organized. You learn (and code) a lot in three days. Web Development Level 1 is a great introduction to the world of Web Development. I look forward to moving to Level 2.
  • I really enjoyed the format of this class. It is taught in a way that just "clicks" with my learning style. Watching the instructor go through the lesson first and give extra tips to help solidify the information outside of what is written in the workbook is immeasurably helpful. While I came into the class familiar with the basics of HTML, the course helped to show the "why" behind the process. The instructors have been very knowledgeable and are readily available to answer questions or clarify the content. I would certainly recommend this course to anyone looking to learn HTML from the ground up. The hands on approach is just what is needed in this type of course.
  • Web Development Level 1 is an excellent introduction to HTML and CSS coding. The fundamental elements were explained and hands-on exercises bolstered an understanding of each function. If you are looking to build a simple web site or gain knowledge of basic coding for customization of existing sites this course is definitely helpful.
  • Not knowing anything about HTML/CSS, I found this class so informative. There was just the right amount of instruction without it ever feeling overwhelming. The instructor was fantastic. She was extremely articulate and explained things so clearly that I really felt like I could truly tackle web development. I feel that I now have a good solid base of knowledge in HTML/CSS and am excited at the idea of moving onto the next level.
  • I signed up for the Web Development Certificate. This was the first class of many and it was great! They covered many topics and Victoria, my teacher, did an excellent job explaining everything. I had zero experience going into the class and I came out of it knowing a lot. I highly recommend Noble Desktop.
  • I am a book publisher and was very happy with the Certificate in Web Design at Noble Desktop. Web Development 1 and 2 helped me manage my website. Photoshop for Web & UI expanded my capabilities. I not only understood the files coming in but could work on the files too, if needed. This gave me greater control of our projects. Mobile & responsive design emphasized mobile first. As a result, I held off redoing our main site while I thought through how to apply everything I learned. I would highly recommend Noble Desktop. Great school!!
  • I was in magazine design and production, but once the industry started contracting, I knew I needed to learn new skills, including web design and web development. I gave myself a project to design and develop a full-blown website, with tons of functionality and animation. The site was BOAST: Best of Astoria (boast.nyc). I started taking Noble Desktop's web design and web development classes every time I ran into an issue I could not figure out myself. Not only did I get the issue solved with help from the instructors, but I learned new things in the classes as well. I also found that the way the courses were taught, with the instructor giving the demo, and then the students doing the same thing, really helped me learn the material. By the time the website was getting close to complete, I had taken almost all of the web design and web development classes, so I figured I would complete the certificate programs and learn some new skills and programs. Also, by signing up for the web design or web development certificate programs, I was able to go to the meetup, where an instructor would give suggestions and troubleshoot any issues we might be having we our projects. This was incredibly helpful as well. I still go back to take other classes and go to seminars at Noble Desktop.
  • I enrolled in the Web Design certificate program after following the free lectures and demos for a while. The information is demoed and follows an exercise that is in a workbook that they have created. After the demo, students then do the same exercise using files made specifically for that class. Because I live a distance away, the remote option fit for me. They offer many times for the same class which can accommodate a variety of schedules. The workbooks are invaluable, easy to follow and understand, and you can download a new version if one becomes available. The exercise files made it easy to get up and running, rather than spend all your time typing to get to the meat of the task. The remote class is delivered via Go to Meeting, and the ability to take screen shots of what you see is a good option. You see the instructors screen - what is projected live in the onsite classroom. You can retake classes within a 6 month period. You can also just buy a workbook for whatever class they offer, which comes with downloadable exercise files that are used in the book. Their instructors are knowledgeable professionals working in the industry. All in all I have enjoyed the process, and would recommend it to anyone looking to add to their skills.
  • Noble lets you learn to code in a hands-on, practical way. The goal is for you to actually learn how to build websites and doesn't assume you have a team of people to do things for you. The content is extremely practical; it's not a test to screen out who should be admitted to MIT or not. They've spent over 20 years perfecting the course materials, and it shows. The materials become your reference manual that you can refer to as you implement upgrades to your own website. Don't waste your money elsewhere, this is the place to go. The owner and teachers are fully committed to your success. They allow repeats and host a Meetup for those in the program to get help and exchange ideas. Noble has your back, while other programs thank you for your money and forget you after their profits clear. Also, you can take the classes that you want to without being forced to take an entire bootcamp.
  • Noble Desktop is so worth the time and money spent on the class. If you really want to learn what it takes and how to create a website-- Noble Desktop is the place to go!!
  • The Web Design Certificate program was a great experience. I did not know all that much about web design before attending, but I feel that I gained a great deal of knowledge here, and I am excited to build upon my skills now!
  • Reading all the positive testimonials you think to yourself, "No class or instructor can be THAT good, right?" Wrong. The instructors at Noble are the most knowledgeable, experienced, patient and skilled teachers you will find anywhere and the learning methods and training materials they employ will have you designing, coding and creating in no time.
  • I spent a lot of time researching different schools and couldn't be more happy that I went to Noble Desktop for the Web Design Certificate. The instructors are great, you cover a lot of material and best of all - you get to keep the workbook so you can repeat exercises on your own!
  • User Experience Design Intensive

NYCDA helped kickstart my career in technology. If I could do it all over again, I would.
  • Web Development 100

To start with, I'm a real grad who now has a real full time dev job that pays a competitive market rate salary for my level of experience. Before I took anything at NYCDA I tried learning on my own for a few months on Treehouse, codeacademy, and even Udemy. I started with the evening Web Dev 100 course b/c I wasn't sure yet about the 3 month commitment. I loved the instructors and found the curriculum to be just enough to give me confidence that I could really learn this stuff. So i enrolled in the full time WDI. This was a much different experience with again GREAT instructors. The curriculum is very much industry standard but it gave me a taste of everything that I have been exposed to thus far in my 1+ month of real work. The JS/Rails instructors are extremely knowledgable in the their respective fields and truly passionate about teaching. All that won't mean much if you aren't serious about putting in the work and having the discipline to practice and study. Jeremy, Zach, and whole team are there to support you throughout the process and even afterwards if you need them. I had some very limited technical knowledge going in but there were other (now hired) students with much less. Practice a lot, read a lot, and use NYCDA resources for help and you will no doubt get better. Feel free to message me if you have any questions about my review.
  • Web Development 100

I took Wed Development 100 last year. I had an idea and wanted to build it but had zero tech experience. A few of us were having trouble with the transition from learning HTML & CSS to JavaScript and the instructor held additional tutorials on the weekend... and made himself available at any time over email or skype. The course fee has been a great investment for me as once you're in, you're part of the community... they hold regular events and always there for you... from one of their meet & greet sessions I recruited a 3 person tech team from the WD Intensive course, built the MVP and ended up finding my tech partner through them. To this day Zach & Jeremy are still helping me out. Take a look at the website we're building bincika.com. We're getting ready to release it, so it's not fully operational yet. To give you context I designed the UX/UI for this (most of it) during the course AND was working full time... if you're willing to put in the time, you can achieve a lot. Good luck!
  • Front End 101

I have taken classes a few other places and NYCDA is the best! I started out with Web 100 and then moved on to the Frontend class as well as Angular. I loved it! Not only did I learn a ton, but they helped me land a job post taking the classes and I'm still working there today. Every class is what you put into it, but not only are the teachers great here, but the staff is attentive, checks in with everyone and makes a point of ensuring that you are getting what you need to be set up for success.
  • Front End 101

There are many ways to go about your tech journey, but NYCDA stands apart from them all. It's been less than a year since I have graduated from this school, but in that time it has expanded to several different locations. This growth is a testament to the type of value NYCDA brings to its students. One major highlight is the community that has been set in place by the instructors and employees. The environment is supportive and encouraging for a student to succeed in whatever it is he or she is working on. As a beginner, you can reach out to any instructor or peer and they will be more than happy to help you any time of the day with any issue. Another reason why NYCDA stands apart is because of the Career Services Team. After your coursework ends it's time to find an opportunity that is appropriate for your goals and the Outcomes Coordinator Krystal Kaplan has proven to me that she genuinely cares. She supported me after I graduated by helping me refine my resume, encouraged me during my search for employment and ultimately referred me for an internship which aligns perfectly with my goals. NYCDA is there to help you foster intellectual development in the field of tech and help you with your journey thereafter. The motivation to succeed ultimately comes from yourself, so have goals in mind and put in the work! Ultimately, I am very happy that I made the choice to pursue learning at NYCDA !
  • Web Development Immersive

Very challenging! I was teaching myself Javascript for a few months and my progress wasn't as fast as I wanted it to be. I discovered General Assembly's Web Development Immersive program and thought to myself that a classroom structure would help accelerate my learning. And boy, did it accelerate! It's project based learning, so you learn by doing which was perfect for me. For anyone considering this program, I highly recommend picking up a beginner javascript/ruby book before enrolling so you're not super behind.
  • Web Development Immersive

I took the Web Development class this year and it was great. I learned a lot from my instructors who were always available for help. There was a lot of support from fellow classmates and the staff. I did not have a computer science or tech background before coming in but I did have a passion for the growing scene.
  • Web Development Immersive

I took the Web Development Immersive classes and it kicked my butt. It was great to work in a collaborative environment. I had worked at a startup prior and tried teaching myself to code. Its great to learn within a community, and GA provides a great outcomes team (career coaching). I chose GA because of its networks and locations. I new I was going to try to move to SF from LA, and they made the transition so easy. They are welcoming at every location and I have made so many friends through GA and their network.
  • The professor was very clear and knowledgeable about the subject. She covered everything that was intended to be cover and an extra assignment.
  • I knew nothing about HTML and CSS and was like a deer in headlights going in to this class. Sneha explained everything very well and made me feel so comfortable. She explained everything very clearly and the handout helped a lot as well. Thank you for helping me get out of the dark ages.
  • So helpful and instructor was lovely!
