Class Description

Description

Register now for this 3 WEEK theater class with this Casting Director for Playwrights Horizons, one of the most highly respected Off-Broadway Theaters in New York City.

Lisa will have received your headshots ahead of time and "cast" each actor in a theater scene, which you will be sent via email 1-2 days in advance.

The night will start off with a Q&A, and then you will read your sides with a reader.

Be prepared for awesome feedback and training that will impact your auditions immediately.

In the second week, you'll be paired with a scene partner from class to perform different material assigned by Lisa. You will get to work on two plays in her class!

Casting for over 10 years with Alaine Alldaffer at Playwrights Horizons, Lisa's credits include: The Flick (PH and Barrow Street), Clybourne Park (B'way and PH), Heroes of the Fourth Turning, A Strange Loop, Dance Nation, The Treasurer, Familiar, Hir, The Christians, Detroit, Circle, Mirror, Transformation, Stage Kiss, Mr. Burns: A Post-Electric Play, Rapture Blister Burn, Present Laughter with Victor Garber for The Huntington Theatre and Roundabout.

Lisa is interested in seeing committed actors looking for honest and constructive feedback.

Refund Policy

We regret that we are unable to give refunds under any circumstances.

  • If you cancel at least 3 business days before the scheduled time of your seminar, you will receive credit for monies paid.
  • The policy for an online class or special event is 8 business days prior to the start date in order to receive credit for monies paid.
If you cancel in time, credit is automatically returned to your account. If you are canceling late, no credit is given unless we find a replacement for you. We have, on occasion, been able to replace actors who cancel late with others from wait lists or who might be standing by. If you are replaced, as a courtesy, we will not charge you for the late cancellation. Please consider any late cancellation a charge on your account, and any resulting replacement a courtesy. You may want to readjust your schedule to attend since, although we do our best to have full seminars, we can never promise a replacement.

If you are a “no show” for a seminar, you will not receive credit under any circumstances.
