What you'll learn in this auditioning class:
Whether you are applying for an MFA Acting Program, doing Summer Stock auditions, or just want to brush up your repertoire of monologues, director Daniela Varon and vocal coach Andrea Haring are teaming up to give you an advantage as you head into the audition season. This workshop is designed to increase your mastery in your audition techniques, and help you bring emotional vitality and mental finesse to your audition monologues.
Each day you will begin by warming up your voice and body to open your instrument, and learn exercises to limber up your language skills. Then, in master class format, you will be coached on how to bring your unique presence to your auditions and to be more flexible and expressive in your ability to play your text.
Prepare two truly contrasting monologues, one of them classical, totaling no more than three minutes combined.
Each day you will begin by warming up your voice and body to open your instrument, and learn exercises to limber up your language skills. Then, in master class format, you will be coached on how to bring your unique presence to your auditions and to be more flexible and expressive in your ability to play your text.
Prepare two truly contrasting monologues, one of them classical, totaling no more than three minutes combined.
Refund Policy
- Enrollment fees for classes and workshops are refundable 2 business days prior to the first class or workshop session. A 5% processing fee will be applied towards refund requests.
- There are no refunds or credits thereafter, unless the school cancels the class or workshop.
If a studio space is closed due to inclement weather and the closure affects a class or workshop, a refund for that particular session’s prorated cost will be offered, or an alternate meeting date and location will be offered to make up for the missed session. Otherwise, no refunds or credits will be given for any missed class or workshop sessions.
No makeup classes or workshops are offered.
The school reserves the right to change teachers for its classes and workshops at any time and without advance notice.
As fellow professionals and artists, we ask that you try to always arrive on time and ready to work.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
