The instructor was friendly and very knowledgeable on the care of Bonsai trees. He gave us the 101 and then guided students on proper pruning and styling to get us the most beautiful bonsai to take home. I really enjoyed the class and would highly recommend it! -

Such a great class and way to spend a Sunday! I learned so much about all aspects of bonsai, and the instructor Julian Velasco clearly is a Master and passionate about his art. Plus I got to take home a miniature work of art/new friend that I will enjoy for years to come! Highly recommended! -

This class was really sweet and informative. Julian comes across as genuinely interested and enthusiastic about bonsai and plant care in general. All the necessary materials were provided, as well as long term care guidance and hands on assistance with shaping the tree. Everyone left with something they could feel good about. Attendees in my Sunday morning class ranged from elementary school aged children to retirees, total plant novices to green thumbed black belts. -

This class was really educational! Julian gave a really good rundown of how to take care of bonsai, I was amazed at how much information he was able to share in such a short time span. The bonsai that I took home with me was also beautiful and I'm excited to take care of it for the next few decades. The day that I went to the class it was almost full so unfortunately there was not that much 1:1 time with the instructor, but he still did come around and help each student at least twice. I had a fun time and was surprised by how quickly the two hours flew by. Definitely recommend this class to anyone who is interested in learning how to properly take care of bonsai! -

It was awesome… The instructor gave everyone the personal attention we needed, he was patient, attentive and answered questions thoughtfully and thoroughly . He was very knowledgeable on the topic. He encouraged feedback and he gave a contact for follow up should we have further questions or concerns. -

Laura was excellent. I have been trying to learn the techniques of watercolor . Laura presented these techniques in an informed, patient manner. I would love to take a course with her again.
