Topic/Styles Explanation
Piel Canela classes work in cycles. If you purchase an individual class, it will be the first lesson of the long term cycles. Should you take the first class and decide you'd like to purchase additional classes through CourseHorse, please contact us and we'd be happy to help you.
Topic/Styles Explanation
- Week 1 Hip Hop 101 Back to Basics
- Week 2 Body Isolation Tutting, Hip movements, chest movements, arm isolation
- Week 3 Basic Break Dancing - Floor-work Baby freeze, Around the World, Crab-walk, standing footwork
- Week 4 Footwork Pattern taught by instructor incorporating variety of steps at different tempos
- Week 5 Popular Dances Whip, nae nae, Bet you can't do it like me, hit the quan, hit the folks, etc
- Week 6 Popping/Locking Contrast of fast and slow movements - builds coordination and understanding of body isolation

Refund Policy
- Cancellations made at least 3 business days in advance of the class will be honored with a full refund less 5% cancellation fee.
- Students who cancel less than 3 business days prior to the start time of the class will receive a credit towards a future class.
Make-up Policy
We allow up to 2 absences over the length of the program. We offer a Tuesday/Thursday section and a Saturday section so a student can come to one of the classes in the other section to make-up a class. Also, we record all classes so if the student is not able to come in to make-up a class, they will be able to still view the recording online.

This "class" was a complete waste of time and money. The scheduling staff and personnel at 500 8th Avenue were useless, to say the least. Weekly the location of the class changed and the front desk were not aware and didn't seem to care. The teacher was late one week and they had to change teachers and room midway. My son learned absolutely nothing. Never Again.
