Class Description

Description

Our Children's Explorations in Film/TV (ages 6-7) encourages students to explore, play, and be a part of an ensemble! This class is a great introduction to acting, storytelling, and working on-camera.

The class begins with games and exercises to introduce students collaborative play, ensemble building skills, the foundational elements of storytelling, and on-camera terminology.

Students then build upon these skills as they explore acting and performance techniques by helping to create and share short plays using either a piece of children’s literature or by creating their own characters.

The class culminates in an open class to share their short films for friends and family.

This class is on-going, and can be taken multiple times.

This class teaches our specific approach to storytelling, and introduces students to the same tools that our adult professional actors work with. We believe that to act is to play and that students learn the most in an atmosphere of relaxed positive reinforcement.
