What you'll learn in this food tours class:

We’ve all heard about the Ancient Greeks. Their influence on the modern Western world is formidable; we are surrounded by references to Greek government, art, literature, mythology, philosophy, science… Yet for all our celebration of the Greeks and their achievements, there is one aspect of their culture that rarely gets mentioned in modern times: what they ate.

Let’s go back to the days of Classical Greece: a time when meals could be liquid, cheese went with seafood and the most fearsome warriors were raised on something called “black stew.”

In this class, we’ll learn about Ancient Greek food and the customs, culture and lore that surrounded it. We’ll break down the world’s first health diets and the recipe with the longest name ever written. We'll also taste some ancient delicacies, including the great-great-great grandfather of pizza.

This class is a general overview of Classical Greek food and food culture. No prior knowledge of the Ancient Greeks required!
If you're looking for a refund, you need to back out of the class a week before it starts. We know it's draconian, but since we're not charging a million bucks, it's kinda hard to deal with last-minute bailings. Instead of dropping out if you have a schedule conflict, a better idea is to ask around your friends and see if anyone would take your spot, then just get money from them! We also can't switch you between class sessions or give any sort of refund after the class happens.
