Description
Calligraphy isn’t a lost art, it’s just an art that you haven’t learned yet!
So, you've taken the Modern Calligraphy Brush Lettering class, but now you want more! This is the class to add to your toolbox. You will learn the techniques you need to create the thick and thin lines of modern calligraphy but this time using a flexible steel nib and ink.
Even though this class is a continuation of the brush lettering class, it is still beginner friendly so you're welcome to attend even if you have no prior experience. We will have all of the supplies and materials you need to learn the basic skills for modern calligraphy, such as proper pen handling, how to prepare the nib for the first time use, best inks and papers for dip pen calligraphy, and other materials.
You will leave with a full script alphabet in upper and lower cases worksheets and practice your new skills that can be applied to cards, invitations, signs, or just to give your penmanship a little pizzazz. You’ll even leave with your own hand-drawn greeting card.
Comfortable clothing, apron, beverages and snacks, a blanket if we're sitting on the grass.
Refund Policy
- Students can reschedule to another class anytime as long as it's within 3 business days of their scheduled class.
- For refunds less 5% cancellation fee, the request has to be made 15 business days in advance of the class they're signed up for.
In the event that an instructor or the school needs to cancel at the last minute, students will receive a refund less a 5% non-refundable registration fee.

The class was beyond wonderful!! Jade, our teacher was amazing- she taught us sooo much and also encouraged and inspired us. The teaching booklet for each of us was amazing - all the info that we needed plus practice sheets and it was beautiful - she obviously pays attention to detail. I plan to continue with the Calligraphy and can’t wait to take more of Jade’s classes.
