Clay Camp but for teens and adults!
This 15 hours program is the perfect way for beginners and intermediate level potters to learn or perfect their skills on the potter’s wheel, in a short time period.
Evening Wheel Throwing Intensive will meet twice a week for 2 weeks.
Daytime Wheel Throwing Intensive will meet 4 times in one week or twice a week for 2 weeks.
An additional 3 hours glazing workshop will be provided, to allow participants to glaze their creations.
This Intensive week long focuses on basic wheel throwing techniques. Beginners will learn the fundamentals of throwing while more advanced students will review their techniques and target their difficulties while challenging themselves with new shapes and sizes. The glazing class will meet one week, to a few weeks later.
What's Included
- Brown or/and white house clay, firings, and glazes.
- Specialty clay bodies are available for sale at Choplet Ceramic Studio.
What to bring
- Participants should bring their own tool kit, apron and towel to each class.
- Supplies can be bought at Choplet Ceramic Studio.
- For evening classes during the winter, we suggest you wear a hat and a sweater when the weather is cold.
