Modern Watercolor Art

Make your own unique, modern watercolor art as you learn the basics of watercolor painting. 

In this relaxing, creative class, we’ll explore abstract art techniques while you learn:

• Creative composition ideas
• Masking and resist techniques for creating negative shapes and blocks of color
• Color mixing tips
• Painting techniques for creating glazes, ombré colors, texture, and more!

Each student receives their own watercolor set to keep, and all the materials and supplies needed to practice painting techniques and make up to four abstract art pieces. We’ll start with some simple silhouettes and work with color allowing the magic of watercolor’s wet-into-wet mixing to be the highlight.

This is a class for everyone. No painting experience is needed, but even avid artists can enjoy learning some new techniques for watercolor. Instructor, artist Christina Batch-Lee, will guide you and help you find your own creative path in this fun weekend workshop.

Price includes watercolor paint set (yours to keep) and use of all paper, brushes and tools.
