What you'll learn in this jewelry class:

Silver soldering is a method of joining silver, copper and various other metals with silver solder (a silver alloy that melts at a lower temperature than the metal or metals to be joined.

By learning to solder, one will be able to fabricate pieces ( fabrication simply means creating jewelry from metal in various forms such as: wire, sheet, tube as well as many other forms),  attaching jump rings, earring backs, stone settings, finding or any hardware that you might need on jewelry or other metal objects as well.

Are materials included in the cost of the class? Flux will be provided by the school at no additional charge. Other materials are not included in the cost of the class.

The solder can be purchased at AllCraft Jewelry Equipment Supplier (135 W 29th St. #205, New York, NY 10001). They will know what you need as they have our information.
