Learn the art of creating stunning neon signs and sculptures in this comprehensive workshop. From glass bending to installation, this course covers it all, catering to both beginners and experienced students. Unleash your creativity and bring your designs to life in this hands-on class at UrbanGlass.
Learn how to create your own neon sign or sculpture from start to finish in this 8-session workshop. The class will be presented as a series of tutorials focused on glass bending, designing, wiring, and installation, along with a demonstration of how a glass tube is processed and filled with gas to produce light. This course is designed for the beginner, as well as the returning student who wants a review and/or guided work session.
What to Expect: Bombarding and electrode attachment for 6 units of neon are included in this class, as well as a transformer (power) and wiring kit. Past 6 units, students will be charged for electrode attachment and pumping at these rates.
With neon work, participants primarily engage in standing activities such as bending and assembling neon tubes over a torch flame. Working with glass materials requires a certain level of dexterity.
Eligibility: No experience required. Open to ages 14 and up.
Pick-up: Neon tubes will be bombarded during the weeks of class, so students should leave with finished units of neon. Should processing take additional time, students will have to return to UrbanGlass once notified to pick up their work.
We recommend registering for classes early to reserve your spot! We base materials, and teacher needs off of student enrollment. Early registration not only guarantees your spot in class, but also helps to ensure the class will run. Classes with low enrollment may be cancelled within two weeks of the start date of class.

Enrollment cancellations made outside sixteen (16) days from the first day of class are eligible for a refund less a 5% processing fee. Refunds will not be granted for any cancellations made inside sixteen (16) days from the first day of class, or for withdrawals during class.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
