Description

Ruby is an easy-to-write programming language today’s developers are using to build websites, games, and applications.

Our Intro to Ruby class is focused on introducing novices to the world of web development. You’ll be introduced to industry tools such as Github, Unix, and Sublime, and then dive into the language of Ruby.

Learn how to solve real-world problems with code and what it takes to create interactive web applications. You’ll complete the class with a solid understanding of the language and a series of basic web applications to show for it.

Coursework:
Week 1: Install Day
Week 2: Intro to Ruby
Week 3: Arrays, Blocks & Hashes
Week 4: Classes & Instances
Week 5: Conversion Rate Optimization
Week 6: Modules & Mixins
Week 7: Personal projects
Week 8: Presentations & Rails

Refund Policy

Tuition includes a $50 registration fee which is forfeited with any cancellation. Cancellations prior to the session start date will receive a full refund, with the exception of this application fee. Once the course has begun, cancellations will receive a pro-rated refund based on the week the refund request is received-- again, minus the registration fee.
