Description

Explore the BIM aspects of Revit architecture. This hands-on course covers topics such as:
  • families and their components
  • creating, organizing,and utilizing different views
  • section elevations and perspectives
  • and schedules
  • and project phasing tools as well as working from a sketch to create a massing study
  • dimensioning (temporary and permanent)
  • stairs, ramps and railings
  • creating rooms and color fill patterns
  • and detailing and annotation.
Certificate: Revit Architecture 2019

This certificate is designed to build job mastery for the practicing construction professional, architect, designer, engineer, programmer, or technician. The courses presume no background in Revit; those who enroll are expected to have basic computer skills and knowledge of the basic principles of drafting. To earn the certificate, you must complete all three courses, which may be taken in different semesters. Courses also may be taken individually for skill enhancement.

Refund Policy

No refunds will be granted for withdrawal from any non-credit course on or after the first scheduled day of class. Withdrawal must be in writing. Telephone cancellations cannot be honored.

MAKE-UP POLICY

Unfortunately, New York Institute of Technology does not offer make-up class sessions. If you know that you will miss a session, then you could let the teacher know and maybe they can give the work you would be missing ahead of time.

    It's sometimes hard to keep a class of people of differing levels of understanding on course. But clearly this professor has a ton of knowledge. I'm excited to take the next level.

    The instructor was very knowledgeable. I found the pace to be vertiginous at times. There was no assigned text book and the handouts were essentially outlines. They did not contain enough information to support the lessons fully. On the plus side, the instructor was patient and answered most questions comprehensively. There was a lot of individual reinforcement given when requested. I would recommend this course. It is a good value.
