Making the reader feel is one of the most important goals of creative writing. But there aren’t cheap shortcuts and creating emotion on the page is an artful enterprise.
This seminar will discuss the importance of risking sentimentality to get at sentiment. Some methods we’ll look at include surprise, restraint, opposing forces, and the use of concrete, resonate detail. The seminar will include a talk, discussion, and an exercise on emotional mastery.

Refund Policy
The refund policy varies by branch and program, however, in most instances a refund is only given if the school cancels a program. Program credit may only be issued in special circumstances.
In the event that an instructor or the school needs to cancel at the last minute, students will receive a refund less a 5% non-refundable registration fee.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
