This richly illustrated talk discusses the evolution of and relationships between multiple percussive dance forms on the continent, including Appalachian and African American flatfoot and clogging, Irish sean-nós and step dance, North Indian Kathak, Quebecois, Ottawa Valley, Cape Breton, and tap.
