Description

Here at The New York Sewing Center, our love of crafting and sewing began at a very young age, which is why we love to inspire the next generation of fashion designers with our Kids’ Sew class!

This course is a great summer camp (5 day) program for young students to express their creativity & grow their love of sewing through fun seasonal projects that they will be proud to say they made!

We start at a beginner level so everyone can follow along and even replicate their projects at home for family and friends.

During this course you will learn:

fashion sketching and mood boards
how to properly thread and use a sewing machine
basic sewing techniques and terminology
how to sew accessories and clothing
hand and machine stitching & seam finishes, appliqué and trim application
embroidery

Kids will also do the following:

fashion sketching & mood boards, embroidery, tote bag, summer top.

Parent or an adult must be present for sewing portion.

Fabric and Supplies: All supplies included and shipped upon enrollment.

Course Duration: 5 days; classes will be broken up into 3 sections.

10-11am sewing
11am-12pm fashion sketching and mood boards
12-1pm lunch break while viewing a runway show during lunch (link provided)
1-2pm hand embroidery class. Options available to sign up for the entire camp or individual sections.

Refund Policy

Cancellation / Reschedule / Refund Policy:

You must give at least 4 business days notice to cancel or reschedule your enrollment in the Regular Classes or for a refund less a 5% cancellation fee
24 hour cancellation policy for Private Classes
Once the class has started, we can no longer offer refunds
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount
