This class will cover the old and new architecture of lower Manhattan. After investigating the structure and aesthetics of the 130-year-old Brooklyn Bridge, we’ll survey the city’s early skyscrapers and compare them to the towers currently rising at the World Trade Center Site searching for common threads throughout.
All of our classes allow participants to learn directly from original art and architectural objects. Each class session includes close looking, lecture, and discussion.
