You doubled down on the Knicks, waited in a 45 min line at the summer festival, and left every cool event with another T-shirt you had to have.
The problem? Most merch comes in “unisex” sizing which is justmenswear in disguise. Boxy through the chest, extra long, and not exactly designed with hips in mind.
In this class, we’ll chop and crop those beloved tees to change their proportions and create a silhouette that actually works on your body.
Bring the T-shirts you love and let’s elevate them.
We will cover things like:
- Proper fitting techniques
- Calculating hem allowance
- Double Needle Topstith
- Rolled Hem
Prerequisite:
This class requires recent sewing machine experience — this is not a learn-to-sew class. Students who have taken [Sewing 101] or a private lessons with me tend to be the most prepared, as my teaching style builds the strong foundation for all others. You do not need experience sewing knits - we will cover that in class. That said, if you feel confident, you know yourself best! This note is simply here to make sure you're set up to enjoy every minute — not spend it catching up or unlearning old habits.
What is Included:
- 3 Hours of Workshop

- Use of sewing machines and basic studio tools
- Work time on your actual existing garments
- Individualized guidance from me!

What do you need to bring?
- T-shirts you want to alter or practice on. It’s a good idea to have something to try on even if doesn’t need a hem just for practicing fitting.
