Class Description

Description

Come and spend five days with us and make a pair for yourself! Jacob Ferrato of JBFcustoms will be visiting NYC to teach a Sneaker Making Class with us here at the Brooklyn Shoe Space.

Class will move fast, and you should come focused and ready to work for the entire day. This class is to teach you basic techniques - it is your own responsibility to master them.

We encourage every student to bring in sketches of shoes they'd like to make. (Sneaker sketching classes are available buildling up to this class) However, please understand that we may need to simplify complex designs in order to complete them in a week. Also, all shoes will be finished with either white or gum colored Margom rubber cup soles. No experience is necessary, and you will walk away from the class with your own handmade shoes.

Pattern making, shopping for leathers in the afternoon (students should expect to spend around $100 on leather)

Day2:

Day3:

Day5:

Learn how to hand-sew the cupsole side stitching.
