Learn the foundations of patternmaking for fashion design by drafting your own custom sloper!!
This course covers the basic blocks and essential patternmaking techniques used in fashion design. You’ll create a front bodice sloper tailored to your measurements—a foundational tool that can be used to develop endless design variations. Perfect for those with some sewing experience or familiarity with commercial patterns—no prior patternmaking experience needed!
What will the day look like?

Prerequisite:
For those with prior sewing experience (so you have a basic understanding of what patterns are) but no need for any patternmaking experience. Probably will be good to have sewn something from a commercial pattern at least once

What do you need to bring?
It’s a good idea to bring a notebook or sketchbook to tape in mini patterns, sketch, and take notes!
Class fees are non-refundable. If you cancel 14 days before the workshop, you can use the credit towards a future workshop or private lesson with Hillary if booked within 60 days of the original class.
If you cancel 7 or fewer days before the event, you will not receive a credit.
It's strongly advised that if you need to cancel within 7 days of the event to gift your place in the class to a friend.
