Pottery Wheel Throwing (Hell's Kitchen)
Never done this before and happy we tried this. It is definitely one of the hardest things I’ve had to do with almost nothing to show for it!!! Our instructor Amy was super patient and kind and gave clear instructions it’s definitely something you should take several classes to get better at. It was a humbling experience and I’m excited to pick up our pieces in a week. We had a lot of fun laughing at ourselves and getting clay all over and there was a lot of natural talented folks in the group who made beautiful cups vases and bowls. -

Wonderful instructor who made sure everyone left with at least one piece they were happy with. I do wish it was a 3-hour class though, between a long demo at the beginning and clean up at the end, the actual throwing time felt limited. -

We had so much fun at this class. Anna was a wonderful instructor! Neither one of us had ever done this before, nor can we call ourselves "artists" but we actually created some very pretty items. The 9th wedding anniversary traditional gift is pottery, so we signed up for this class to celebrate our 9th and we had a great evening together. I can't wait to pick up our finished pieces. Highly recommend! -

Private Wheel Throwing Class for Two
Such an excellent way to be introduced to wheel throwing! Our instructor Siri was excellent— she explained the process well, and was very helpful as we encountered new questions and created new problems. We made multiple pieces each, and while only one firing is included in the class fee, the firing fee for additional pieces is so inexpensive that we ended up deciding to keep everything we made. We may be back to take more classes and learn more advanced skills :D -
Private Class for Two - Valentines Special
Eleni was a highly skilled and kind teacher who easily walked us through the basics of pottery. Both me and my partner were pretty new to the hobby, so she met us where we are. Handbuilding and Wheel (Beginner)
was fantastic -
Weekend Wheel Throwing Pottery (Sunday)
The class was good! The instructor was friendly and did a demo in the beginning, then walked around and helped us individually once we got started on the wheels. The studio is a bit cramp and messy, but fine for the price of this. Plus, you get to keep a piece after they fire it/glaze it for you. In terms of COVID safety, everyone wore masks and they take your temperature at the door and the wheels are "kinda" spread out with clear panels between people sitting in front of each other. I had wish there were like 2-3 less people just because the space is kinda narrow and when cleaning up, you do have to be right next to each other since there's only one sink. But if you're fine with that, then def take it as a beginner class to get your feet wet! -
