What you'll learn in this digital photography class:
Digital photography and the "automatic settings" have made picture taking easier than ever, but the best results come from understanding how the camera functions, and artistic considerations - such as composition, the use of light, and capturing real life subjects - that are essential ingredients for good photography.
In this 90-minute class, you'll learn some of the basics of digital photography:
Classes held at Midtown or Upper West Side locations.
In this 90-minute class, you'll learn some of the basics of digital photography:
- Understanding camera terminology and camera settings (e.g. Focal Length, Shutter Speed, ISO, Depth of Field, Color Balance, File Types and Size)
- Techniques for photographing people, events, and travel locations
- Tips for better composition
- Why to also use a film camera at times
- Practice exercises to improve your photographic skills
- Better Exposure
- Available light and how to use on-camera flash
- How to choose your best photos
- Intro to photo editing software

- If no notification is given by the student (no-show), We will still try to accommodate them in another available class, but there may be an additional fee required of $35-$100, depending on course cost.
