Question from kate s.
Do I need to bring my own stones/materials? I don't have any :/
Answer from Johanna W. Verified Student
Hi Kate! They will have someone there who has exactly the right kind of stones for you to choose from. As far as tools, if you have stone setting/metalsmithing tools, you can bring them along. But they do have everything there, all the silver and tools and whatnot that you can use and they will show you how to use everything. I didn't bring anything with me other than a rocker bezel setting tool & I was totally ok!

Attended: Bezel Settings for Faceted Stones
Jeanette is amazing! Her class was not only fun, but I learned so many much, much better techniques than the ones I had been using for so long. This studio is really an invaluable resource. I will definitely be back for more classes!!!

Class size was large- at least 11 people. We started 20 mins late as usual and ran out of time towards the end and felt rushed. They really need to cap the class size and offer more classes of the same, not squeeze everyone into one.

I had lots of fun, and learned great techniques, tips and tricks for bezel setting a faceted stone. In one day I was able to make a beautiful ring. All the students seemed to enjoy the class as much as I did. Jeanette was great and enthusiastic as always. I think she really loves to teach, and her enthusiasm is contagious. Highly recommended!

I have taken several workshops at JAI and they have been well organized, including all pertinent details to help you achieve a beautiful piece of jewelry.

I loved my class and am about to sign up for a package of classes. The group was small and we all had different levels of ability, so Jeanette, our teacher, was able to give us the individual attention we needed. The workspace was well lit and well equipped. You can purchase all your tools and supplies right there , including metals and stones. I am thrilled I found this school and would highly recommend it.
