Schirin Chams-Diba is a mystica, dancer, yogini, healer, and pilgrim at heart. From a young age, she has followed a distinct call to embark on a life-long journey of healing, adventure, and truth. From a long line of Persian healers and wise women, she has trained intensively in sacred dance, yoga, spiritual lineages, esoteric arts, and herbal medicine. After years of exploring the world, devoting herself to in-depth study, and shaping her own practice, she feels called to share her skills in service to the greater good. Bringing together all these riches has led her to develop her method for ‘Essence of the Feminine’.
For the past decade, Schirin has taught sacred movement medicine through feminine-aligned yoga, sacred dance traditions from the Middle East to India as a transformational and empowering experience, various esoteric traditions seen through the feminine lens, lunar rhythms and holistic lifestyle choices. Whether alone or in a circle of sisters, the practices serve the experience of connection, naturally arising wisdom, intuition, vitality, creativity, healing and joy.
She has held workshops and retreats in New Zealand, Australia, Bali, Thailand, India, Germany, the Netherlands, Portugal, Greece, Turkey, USA and Guatemala.
As a multi-disciplinary dance artist, she regularly performs live with world-renown musical acts at festivals and concerts. Live performance highlights include: virtuoso Omar Faruk Tekbilek , Stellamara, Karavan Sarai, Beats Antique, Yuval Ron Ensemble, Bedouin Jerrycan Band, Peruquois & Praful, Rajasthani Gypsy Caravan, the cast of Jillina Carlano’s Bellydance Evolution ‘Fantasm Odyssey of Dreams’ production.
Alisha has been immersed in yoga, mindfulness and sacred feminine practices since 2010. She is a coach trained in Hakomi method, a mindfulness based somatic psychotherapy method and today offers assistance to the Los Angeles-based training program. She also holds a 500-hour yoga certification training, as well as women’s leader Mystical Dance 200 hour teaching training with Monika Nataraj.
Alisha’s passion is discovering somatically what she considers to be the TRUE Divine Feminine in all of us – through the blessed science of tantra, yoga or simply learning to “be” with our bodies. Her love for exploring her own inner world has allowed her to develop a skill at assisting others in their own exploration.
Alisha’s personal practice includes sadhana from Nita Rubio of Shri Vidya lineage as well as the “Tantric Dance of Feminine Power” offered by Vajra Ma. She has studied with a huge variety of teachers over the years (from a hindi-only-speaking white tantric master in remote parts of India to well-known speakers like David Deida) yet laid a solid foundation of psycho-spiritual growth and understanding with Sri Prem Baba doing intensive work from 2012-2018.
Ultimately, Alisha aims to serve and to share her love and passion for growth, joy and understanding.
