Chicago's largest recreational cooking school and gourmet retail store, offers demonstration and hands-on cooking classes, as well as wine classes, private cooking parties and corporate team building events. Classes at our two locations cover subjects from cooking basics to intensive Boot Camps as well as seasonal, date nights, healthy and kids classes.

This was one of the best informal classes I have ever had. The instructors were super professional and helpful. The recipes were easy, and the products were delicious. I've already recommended these classes to multiple family members and friends!

Took the Homemade Ice Cream class at The Chopping Block in Chicago. The instructor, Melissa Novak, was awesome. This is the first food class that I've ever taken so I wasn't really sure what to expect but I was so happy with everything. There were 5 people in the class and I love how intimate the setting was. Melissa was a master and made the class a lot of fun to take. I'll definitely be coming back to take more classes!
Great instructor, but the setup felt a little chaotic with people needing to switch on and off burners, resulting in meals finished at different times of class and those who waited ate last. Great recipes though. Would recommend for private/group outings.
I thought it would have been better if they each chef explained their recipes individually. Then we all had time to taste it and ask questions and then move on to the next chef. It was fun and Alia is always great!

Great food. Fun atmosphere. Amazing interaction with chefs. Learned a lot about the Mexican dishes and recipes. One note -- for $90, would have expected one drink to be included, but overall a fun and festive night!

I took the pasta workshop at The Chopping Block and had a great time. The class was hands-on, from making the pasta from scratch to rolling it out, cooking it and eating it. Chef Joey Hahn was incredibly knowledgeable and taught us about knife skills and cooking techniques. The dishes we made were delicious and there were tons to take home after.
