Michelle Michaels

Teaches at Joy of Motion Dance Center

Michelle Michaels has been tap dancing for over twenty-five years, and has been actively performing in the DC area since 1999 with Tappening. Since 2013, she has been creating and performing holiday pieces for Tappenstance. Recently, Michelle added to her tap portfolio choreographing for Tappening, performing with Sundays on Tap, and co-founding Play Time Tap, a northern Virginia based tap group. She has performed in productions and venues including TAPS Alive!, Kennedy Center Millennium Stage, Annual Holiday SpecTAPular, DC TAP Fest, and Lincoln Center (NYC). Michelle is grateful for all of the amazing opportunities and talented people she has met through tap and looks forward to continuing to create great rhythms with her fellow tappers!
