Shenequa Pierre

Shenequa Pierre is a Miami native whose daily mantra is “Ductos Exemplos” which translates to “lead by example.” Her background in mentorship, her devotion to Christ, and her passion to transform lives, brings this vision to life. She’s an Academic Director who obtained her Bachelor’s in Science in 2007, from Florida International School of Psychology and Health Studies. In the summer of 2007, she pursued and obtained her Dual Masters in Mental Health Counseling and Applied Behavior Analysis from the College of Psychology at Nova Southeastern University. While enrolled in the program, she was afforded the opportunity to do research and explore Education Policy and Systemic effects of Mental Health Counseling in urban communities. The knowledge and skills obtained from her studies were unforgettable and priceless. Through her work as a parent, classroom teacher, administrator, mentor, advocate, school board member and speaker, she has developed the knowledge, skills, and mindsets essential for strong instruction, restorative justice, and immediate outcomes. She seeks to help people tap into their potential in providing equitable, cultural-responses to circumstances and situations they may face. In the last 9 years, Shenequa has mentored and assisted with the academic and social development of approximately 100 inner-city girls in Miami- Dade County, Duval County, Broward County and now Bronx NY. 30% of who are pursuant to exploring their collegiate undergraduate careers. Her continuous involvement in the community has rendered her Future Leader of Tomorrow 2015, Transformative Leader 2014, Educator Hero 2013. Shenequa is using her spiritual, personal, and professional experience to catapult G.E.M.S. which will equip, inspire and transform the next generation of women leaders. Being brilliant and full of perspective, Shenequa has discovered the only way of survival is to know your potential, fall in love with passion and work to fulfill the purpose.
