What you'll learn in this kids fashion class:
After School Kids Fashion Design, Sketching & Illustration Class (Ages 7-11)
Calling all creative kids who are aspiring fashion designers for this online art class with NYC's #1-rated art studio, The Art Studio NY! This engaging, inspiring and FUN live, online kids fashion design class introduces kids to the exciting world of couture sketching, fashion design, color palettes, fashion textures, fashion illustration and figure drawing for design.
Budding artists will learn to draw and illustrate a wide variety of seasonal fashion items in this interactive online fashion class, including how to sketch and illustration dresses, pants, tops, textiles, sportswear, summer wear, ballgowns, formalwear, accessories and more!
Each designer will create individual sketches and illustrations of their very own fashion line to feel proud of!
In this upbeat online kids art class, budding designers will:
- Develop a variety of original fashion sketches and illustrations while learning a range of fashion styles and techniques
- Receive one-on-one, tailor-made art instruction, guidance, and feedback by a Professional Artist and Expert Art Instructor from our top NYC art studio
- Learn and practice fashion drawing techniques, including figure
- proportions, textile design, color palette creation, drawing folds, shading, layering, gesture drawing, and more
- Make friends with fellow budding fashionistas from around the country and world
- Learn how to create fashion design ideas inspired by imagination and personal self-expression
- Develop and strengthen unique artistic style and personal creative voice
- Receive the data-driven benefits of art classes that include: Boosted self-esteem, greater communication skills, improved test scores, anxiety and stress reduction, and a sense of accomplishment.
Art Class Materials:
Materials are not included.
You will need: Drawing Paper (no smaller that 11 x 14) Pencil and Eraser Colored Pencils Ruler Old Magazine Mod Podge or Glue
Remote Learning
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.
Refund Policy
Class tuition is neither non-refundable nor transferable. No refunds will be issued after registration and payment. In case of a Medically Certified illness, a credit will be issued after receipt of your physician’s documentation. The value of the credit will be for the balance of the remaining class sessions with an additional deduction of a $95 registration fee. Credit may be used up to 12 months.
If after your first class you are dissatisfied with the quality of your course, a written note must be submitted within 1 business day after your first class. After receiving your note, refund of class tuition will be reviewed by our staff. If a refund is granted, processing of refunds requires 8-10 weeks. A 5% nonrefundable processing fee will be applied.
Course Cancellations
Although course cancellation is quite rare, The school reserves the right to cancel classes or change instructor assignments and makes every effort to notify students in advance. If enrollment goals are not met, a course may be canceled up to 1 business day before the first scheduled class. In the event of cancellation, a refund or credit is granted. On occasion, a course start-date will be pushed back if enrollment goals are not met. In this instance, you will receive a credit for the price of the class that did not take place.
Please note that there will be NO exceptions to this under any circumstances.
Make-up Policy
Unfortunately, The school does not offer any makeups for classes missed. However, if the student wants to get the most from the course and the absence, they can tell the instructor when they will be absent and the instructor can provide some guidance on exercises to practice while away.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
