Monona Wali

Teaches at Santa Monica College

Monona Wali is trained and certified to lead creative writing workshops using the Amherst Writers & Artists method. She has taught creative writing and memoir classes for children and adults and is a published author and a filmmaker. She has just completed her first novel, 'My Blue Skin Lover,' and a collection of short stories, 'The Seedling’s Song.' Recent stories are being published in 'The Santa Monica Review' (Fall ’05), 'Catamaran,' 'A Journal of South-Asian America Writing' (Summer ’06), and 'Tiferet, A Journal of Spiritual Literature' (Spring, ’06).
