Underground DJ Full Course
I took the 10 week Underground DJ Course and it was a fantastic experience. Having an instructor who is very active in the scene is valuable not just for learning but for connections as well. The class is mostly geared towards learning how to mix on CDJs, and the club standard Pioneer mixers, but they will get you sorted on whatever equipment you choose. I will definitely be coming back to Garnish for music production in the future to progress my craft. -

I just want to say thank you to Dave and PJ at Garnish Music Production School Los Angeles. I just finished the mixing/mastering course winter school. It was an amazing one-week course. I came in knowing a fair amount but now I feel like I truly understand the concepts and will be able to apply them so much better to get my music to sound professional. I think there is no other program in the US that compares to this in terms of bang for the buck! I would highly recommend anyone considering doing mixing/mastering on their own to come spend a week here. You will be very happy you did. Thank you! -
Mixing & Mastering Full Course
I've attended the Electronic Music Production course at Garnish School in Melrose, Hollywood in 2013 and it was one of the good experiences from this year. I really recommend Garnish and the staff, all very helpful and friendly. The staff was formed by all kinds of great music producers of all kinds of electronic music both from England and the US. I made great connections, and due to that I will take the Mixing and Mastering course next year. Oh by the way, Garnish offers a great deal in education compared to other schools covering the same subjects. To end this review, It has a very independent feel which I think is very realistic to the current days of the music industry. Totally recommended and looking forward to meet some cool people there again. -

Ableton Live 9 Full Course
Garnish Music Production School Los Angeles is a hidden gem in the busy streets of Melrose. From day 1, I knew that I was in good hands with PJ and Jake to go on my journey onto learning Ableton 9. It is true that there are a million (free) tutorials online to learn things, but I learn best at the hands of a mentor...which is why I finally decided to take the step and sign up for the Ableton course. Jake covered way more than I expected in and assisted us with our tracks during the latter half of the course. Additionally, Dave Garnish (the owner) is the best communicator for any questions or concerns that you have...it is amazing how responsive and friendly he is. You don't find genuine people like that these days. I can't wait to take another class at Garnish! -
Ableton Live 9 Full Course
Did Ableton 101 here in New York after enjoying a taster course with Dave a few years ago in London. The course was really great, I loved how much we managed to cover in the time and I looked forward to every lesson. Heinrich the teacher was really fantastic and very interesting to chat to, I hope that one day I am good enough on Ableton that he and I can collaborate. My only negative feedback (and honestly it's more constructive criticism) is that I would have loved more help with creating midi samples, especially beats - I appreciate the time is limited though in a 36 hour course, it just felt like an obvious gap. Otherwise great, good luck Dave with the NY school. -
Music Production in Logic Pro X 101
I had the most excellent experience at Garnish. I came into the class knowing absolutely nothing about Logic, and when the course ended in 4 short weeks, I felt able to start producing! The teachers are great, the class was small so I got individualized attention, and the content was very useful. I definitely recommend this class to anyone who works in music in any capacity: musician, singer, producer, engineer, ect. -

I took the Logic Pro X course here with Darren and it was amazing. You can take this class never using Logic before and finish being able to do anything in there. The studio is well maintained has good equipment and the staff are all really helpful. For sure about to take the mixing and mastering course here too. -

The best thing I could have done to excel my skills in Logic! I had an absolute blast with the Logic Pro X course in LA for the week I was down there. Darren Burgos was an amazing teacher, mentor and now friend. He was so clear, listening, and thorough with his teachings and made sure that we didn't move on until we completely understood that day's lesson. Amazing school, courses and staff. I highly recommend. I am currently getting into composing music for video games and truly believe this has shot forward several huge with tool sets. -RC -
