Description
What you'll learn in this kids sewing class:
Contrast banded pillow case with french seams. Are your kids interested in learning how to sew with the sewing machine, but you don’t know where to start? This class is just for them!
Students will learn about the tools of sewing and how to safely handle pins, scissors, iron and sewing machine. Students will practice “steering material” through the machine, threading the machine properly, construction, and finishing techniques. We will learn to measure, cut or rip fabric to the right size, and press seams for a professional finish to create a contrast banded custom pillow that they’ll love.
Notes:
Students will learn about the tools of sewing and how to safely handle pins, scissors, iron and sewing machine. Students will practice “steering material” through the machine, threading the machine properly, construction, and finishing techniques. We will learn to measure, cut or rip fabric to the right size, and press seams for a professional finish to create a contrast banded custom pillow that they’ll love.
Notes:
- Arriving 15 minutes after the start of class, the student will be responsible for catching up with the rest of the class or will be asked to re-schedule to another date, at the discretion of your instructor.
- Arriving 20 minutes or more after the start of class will result in cancellation of your reservation.
Refund Policy
Sometimes our classes won’t fill their minimum and we will need to cancel. Most likely it could be the day before, and we will contact you as soon as possible. A full refund will be applied if the studio has to cancel a class.
What happens if I need to cancel?
Class fees are non-refundable. There is a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you cancel within the 24 hours before the class, you will forfeit your fee. If you alert us 24 hours or more before your scheduled class, we will gladly give you credit for a future class. This credit must be used within 90 days of the cancellation date to prevent loss of the registration fee.
