What you'll learn in this quilting class:
This class will take you through the entire process of quilting. You’ll learn the basics of quilting and create a 45” x 58” sampler lap quilt.
The techniques will include:
Accurate cutting, accurate ¼” seams, four patch, rail fence, log cabin, nine patch, half square triangles, applique, borders, stitch in the ditch, backing and binding your completed project.

- Teach Me to Make My First Quilt by Pat Sloanan excellent resource you will use every time you quilt!
- Sewing Machine in great working order, oiled and ready to roll
- 3-4 filled bobbins
- Self-Healing Cutting Mat (18 x 24) available at store for class use
- Olfa Rotary Cutter (45mm or 60mm)
- Quilting ruler with lines that you can easily see (6” x 24” is a great start)
- Thread
- Dark fabric 1 yard
- Medium fabric ½ yard
- Light/Medium fabric ¼ yard
- Light fabric 1/2 yard
- Background 2 yards
- Backing 3 yards
- Quilt batting 54” x 65”
