Q: Can I make up a class if I miss one?
A: No. There are no makeups allowed. You might be able to informally meet with the instructor but it would be up to the instructor. The school is very flexible with scheduling and attendance for our Beginning Knitting and Beginning Crochet courses; however, for intermediate level courses, they ask students commit to attending the scheduled sessions.

Q: Is a certificate of completion available to me after completing their class?

Q: Is a professional certificate available to me after completing their class?

Q: Can I take home what I make in this class?
A: Yes

Q: Is this class hands on?

Q: Is there anything else I should be aware of to be prepared for class?
A: Some students like to have a pen and notebook available to take notes, but it is up to you. Any other materials they might need can be purchased at the school's store. There is also a convenience store next to the shop if students would like to have a beverage during class.

Q: Are materials provided and included in the cost of the class?
No. Materials required are:
  • One skein of sock weight yarn (463 yds, 75% Superwash Merino/25%Nylon) **WILL BE PROVIDED**
  • Bring a plastic bag or ziploc bag (to bring the yarn home in—it will still be wet)
  • Bring an apron or wear clothes that can be stained (cotton is best since the acid dye is less likely to stain it)
All of the necessary course materials will be provided to you (dye, yarn, non latex gloves, etc.)

We will steam set the yarn on site during the class, though it will still be wet when the class is over. You'll be given clear instructions on how to dry it once you've gotten it home, and you won't need any special equipment to do so!

Additional skeins of yarn will be available for purchase from the course instructor.

If you are asthmatic, please be aware that the dyes and chemicals are mild lung irritants. Exposure to them will be short, but if you are concerned, please bring a particle dust mask that is available at any home improvement store.
