At La Scuola, our mission is the spread knowledge of Italian cooking and cuisine to fellow Eatalians, both young and old. We believe that good food brings people together in every way, so for this special class, we are inviting smaller chefs (children ages 6 to 12) and their parents to our classroom.
Join us for a hands-on pastry class, taught by Eataly Chicago’s La Scuola chef Johanna Medina focused on how to prepare the Tuscan answer to biscotti, Cantucci Toscani. In this class, you’ll learn how to make cantucci from scratch. Chef Johanna will start of the class with a tasting of various cantucci and while your cookies bake, one of our education managers will take you on a small tour of Eataly Chicago to help you better navigate your shopping list to make cantucci at home.
Join us for a hands-on workshop on how to prepare focaccia, an Italian flatbread from start to finish. In this class, you’ll work with Eataly Chicago’s La Scuola Chef Joshua Septoski to form and shape focaccia dough as he reveals tips on how to produce this tasty bread that is perfect for a light lunch on the go.
