  • After Workshop: Bead Embroidery

    Aegina B. • April 8, 2025
Alexandra was a delightful instructor, and we learned several very useful stitches we could use in our work. The handout contained handy resources, and I also appreciated the free time at the end to create a mini-project of our own.
  • After Workshop: Bead Embroidery

    Reecha K. • August 13, 2024
Alejandra was a great teacher for beginners - wish class was a bit longer to complete projects but definitely loved the space and people there! will be back!
  • After Workshop: Tapestry Weaving

    Cindy H. • July 17, 2024
The class was welcoming and beginner friendly. The only thing I wished was different was having a little more time or potentially going faster, since we did not get through much. However it was a good start to continue practicing weaving in the future.
  • Basket Weaving

    Carlie W. • August 15, 2022
What a wonderful two weekends of basket weaving. The teacher was extremely good a teaching on zoom. I learned two different basket techniques - a woven basket and a coil basket - I am excited to keep working on my technique for those styles and modifications she discussed with us. So fun to meet people across the country interested in learning a craft - and the other students were very talented! The instructor helped us share just enough of our own lives to bring us together as a group. Makes such a fun environment in which to learn.
  • Natural Dyeing

Teacher knowledgeable but total class time only 3-4hrs, not 6-hr total as advertised. Teacher reluctant to answer questions even though class was only 1 hr (not 3 hrs) in final session. Perhaps class time & price should be adjusted accordingly.
  • Bead Embroidery

Great teacher encouraged students to learn new techniques! Course was lots of fun.
  • Natural Dyeing 101 (4 Week)

    Carol S. • March 16, 2020
Excellent class with a knowledgeable teacher. Thoroughly reviewed natural dyeing techniques and spent hours doing various types of hand dyeing. At the end of the class we each had a book of documented samples and several yards of cloth. Wonderful!!
  • One Day Intensive: Bead Weaving

    Sheri M. • February 25, 2020
The class was really good ... it was my first time heading ever. Most of the class had not beaded before so a bit more instruction or demonstration or video may have been helpful to get started. But once started it was really fun.
  • Leather Working 101

    Israel C. • December 6, 2019
It was a nice experience learning the basics of working with leather. Lix is a fun and a great teacher, now I feel confident to start fabricating my own pieces
  • Sewing 201: Draping

    Kam W. • December 5, 2019
Teacher was good. Wish that it was tailored for knits. Wish it had a goal of a final finished piece. It felt like that after this class that they would offer another class to help finish the piece I designed and had a pattern for. Although they offer studio hours other than class time, it did not have a teacher to help you along.
  • Large Format Marbling (Weekend Intensive)

    Anonymous • November 25, 2019
Natalie Stopka is an excellent teacher and the class was fun and interesting and productive. We accomplished a lot in one day. What a perfect way to spend a Sunday.

Very informative class. The teacher was terrific and very helpful. I’m glad I took the class and would definitely consider taking more classes.
  • One Day Intensive: Fabric Marbling

Great class! Natalie was a wonderful teacher, so much fun. Learned a lot and had plenty of time to experiment with the technique. Would absolutely take another of her classes.

I love the class which has a lot interaction and fun. Natalie introduced in very detail and demonstrated in a proper way which is good to students.

Molly was very patient and so knowledgeable. I will definitely take another class.
  • Intro to Tapestry Weaving (One Day Class)

    Mitchel H. • August 6, 2019
Perfect class. The first 2/3 of the class we learned a bunch of different techniques, which we then incorporated our own tapestry to take home and finish. It was exactly what I was looking for to get started on my personal projects. Highly recommend if you're curious about how this stuff is done.
  • Sewing 201: Draping

Excellent class. Instructor was organized and made the class fun. Learned many skills that could be further developed.
  • Introduction to Screen Printing

    Aditya P. • July 27, 2019
Hannah was a great instructor and I learned everything I needed.
  • Intro to Embroidery (Evening Series)

    Anonymous • July 26, 2019
I’ve taken embroidery classes before but I learned stitches I’d never known in this one. Cate was a great teacher and very responsive to the class. I would love for her to offer a second part to this class, with more stitches and letting us work on a first design.
  • Large Format Suminagashi

    Stephanie C. • July 24, 2019
EXTREMELY informative. I've taken over 3 Suminagashi marbling classes, this has to take the cake. I came away with +10 techniques to add to my Suminagashi marbling toolbox. I highly recommend purchasing the extra yards of fabric. So much freedom in this class and time to explore using the techniques and create great pieces.
