Crochet 101: Chunky Cowl
I had never even picked up a ball of yarn before -- and I have a history of being klutzy and nervous when it comes to this sort of skill. The instructor (Ginny or Jenny; I forgot to get the spelling!) was amazing -- so patient, clear, and good-natured! She anticipated what problems we might be having and tried to help us avoid them; she was very funny and reassuring. I left with about half my cowl done, which, believe me, was more than I expected! I hope to finish it at a later session, when I can count on her wise guidance. And Brooklyn Craft Company is always a fun place to shop and just hang out. I love their offerings -- they always have something fun and new to try. This was a truly enjoyable experience! -

The instructor was incredibly patient and explained everything in a way that made learning easy and fun. The class covered all the basics, from casting on to creating different stitches, and I was able to make a small project by the end. The atmosphere was welcoming, and I loved meeting others who shared the same interest. It was a relaxing and creative experience, and I can't wait to take more classes. Highly recommend for anyone looking to pick up knitting. -

I think the course would be better if the instructor didn’t rush through each exercise and also had visual handouts so we can reference what are expected to do. It’s hard to learn from someone who is sitting down trying to teach you different water color techniques. -

Beginner Patchwork
I had a great experience with this class. We learned how to make a log cabin quilt block. The teacher explained different ways to arrange colors to create different effects. I used some fabric that I had brought, and then I also purchased some during the class to complement the design. They had really cute fabrics in the store and it was fun to look around. This class got me into quilting. I am making my own full size quilt now. -

This is the second time I have taken with class and I will definitely sign up for future ones! There is always great camaraderie and conversations in these classes while everyone is working on their felting project. Our instructor, Jessie, is a pro and offers many helpful suggestions throughout the lesson! I highly recommend the experience! -

This class was really nice. The instructor was hands-on and had really high energy. I didn't realize I had to buy materials, so just plan to purchase materials in addition to the cost of the class!
